dollhouse
One of a kind, handmade dollhouse. Some materials I used are wood, clay, fabric, wire, paper, hot glue, paint, buttons, tiny jars, moss, dried flowers, thorns, rocks, dirt, mouse bones, human tooth, battery powered string lights, among other things. There's 8 rooms: a tea room, child's bedroom, spell room, skeleton closet, twig throne, kitchen, bathroom and a hell room.
Growing up I'd make dollhouses out of shoe boxes and even miniature rooms inside Altoids mint boxes for my mini polly pockets. With this project I wanted to return to a state of creative play utilizing my current interests in clay, wire and fabric creations.
In the process I realized that I want to continue to make dollhouses and refine my skills in intentional dimension play as well as create miniature sets for stop motion films.
